went to east coast park after school on 24th september, mum's birthday. haha (:

cycling ftw. cycled to bedok jetty and the sunset was awesome

tuesday lessons suckkkk. ultimate torture of boredom, heat, brain cells dying and of course, hunger..
we students fight hard, everyday, to win the battle against our ever-so-heavy eyelids
sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. but when we lose i think teachers should be a tiny bit more understanding! give us a 5min grace time? :D haha

history was back to normal(finally!) and was interesting and effective

for the under16 category, year 4 seniors clinched first, followed by team AWESOME, then SUPERSAURUS.

and so i waited until 11pm+ to give my dad the bear. couldn't find nice moments in the day, thats why. placed the huge bear in his room on his bed and waited for him to see it.
he came in, walked one whole round around the room but still couldn't see the bear. its not some minute bear! its big big with bright, striking pink clothes and yet he couldn't see it. its not like it blended in with the colour of his bed. now my parents have couple bears! haha

the match today was an experience. it was heartbreaking having to sit on the bench and watch you all sweat it out, get tired, experience the fatigue, take the heat, run and run again, get injured, get knocked out and all. i know that you all tried your best, but i still believe we can match up to river. maybe we did better the last time, maybe we have lost our drive. i'm sure we can get it back, definitely. i'm going to recover, as fast as i can help it, train harder, and fight it out during our last match.
so lets change out mindset.

parents didn't work ystd. so they brought me to see the tie da doctor. damn it
before i went it, a girl came out crying with her ankle bandaged up 0.0
that totally freaked me out. had the urge to run like mad out of the clinic!

so when we stood to leave, he said he didn't want to see me again :D hahaha

and so my day started off with, "SHIT! I'M LATE". but as a matter of fact, i wasn't. warm-up started on time(because we're training with the year3s now) and a few of us weren't there yet. rae went hysterical because she sprinted from far away because she thought she was late. haha crazy person. eva ran ran ran too. nicole lim didn't run. all she did was STRIDE. damn! faster then me running -.- yile and kirsten showed speed. haha
luckily all of them came before 10am, before mp came. i thought tsy overslept or something! i was shocked to hear that she was sick. aft hours of bball yesterday? weak lah tsy. hahaha.
focused mainly on shooters and feeds from feeders today so we defenders didn't really have mp's attention (:
stretch-down was the best part of training. the least tiring and most enjoyable :D
gossiped(so long since i did it! hahaha) with nicole.t and yile
went to vivo for lunch with meredith, waneu, kobei, felicia and yile

History

Bloody Sunday and its aftermath 1905 (worsening of living and working conditions)
after bloody sunday, a duma was formed. however, it consisted of non-elected people who supported the Tsar. Therefore, it still boiled down to what the Tsar wanted, and not what would really help improve the lives of the Russians and what the Russians wanted/needed. The tsar was still holding on to absolute power.

Russian revolution march 1917 (against Tsar nicholas the second )
the tsar showed his lack of knowledge inability to run a country and to manage Russia when he decided to go to war with germany during world war1, putting Rasputin and Tsarina Alexandra in charge of Russia back home while he went to the war front with his soldiers. he took charge of the soldiers during the war. he listened to what Rasputin told him to do with the soldiers(where the troops should move) even when Rasputin knew nothing about fighting wars.
his strong belief in autocracy also led to his failure and the revolution as people held no power in running their own lives. the tsar had the last say in everything.
his duma eventually split into 2 groups.
1. decided that they wanted to go against the Tsar because they lost faith in him.
2. decided that they had to save the tsar by killing Rasputin.
Soldiers, peasants, women, old folks, nobles, all go against the Tsar, in an unplanned revolution.
1917 march, Tsar abdicates. Provisional Government takes of Russia(Provisional Gov. continues with WW1.)

Russian revolution november 1917 (against provisional government)
WW1 still went on after march 1917
therefore, the P.G didn't gain support of the soldiers
Lenin established the Bolsheviks which was established after the social democratic party split into 2 opposing groups-- Mensheviks and Bolsheviks
Lenin created a propaganda, he reached out the the vast population of the Russians, the peasants "PEACE, BREAD, LAND" he continued to preach this and to discredit the provisional government
All in all, what caused this revolution:-
the P.G displayed weak leadership because there were no elections made(what democracy, right?) and did not pull out of WW1.
The strength of the Bolsheviks. they could function like a small army: the Red Guards

Today is the 21st of April 2009, which officially marks the end of C Division'09

It's been really enjoyable, apart from the torturous trainings, spending time with this team
Yes, people say, " why get so upset? there's still B division!"
but its not the same!
the 12 of us will not get to play together, just us 12, ever again
yes, it'll be fun with others around too. but the feeling will be different and i'll miss that feeling
its not the original 12 of us anymore
not the 12 that started out together, achieving way more than what we ourselves expected

remember the suicides?
remember the fitness training we were supposed to do during the EOY break from CCA we were supposed to do faithfully but didn't?
remember how we played the shittiest game of our life aft the EOYs last year?
remember how we were in deep trouble when MP found out?
remember how we were so happy that we beat nanhua for our seniors during pesta sukan? twice?
remember how we used to do that cheer? "WE ARE THE F.A.T.T.Y WE ARE THE K.L.S.H.E WE ARE THE N.C.16 WE ARE THE RV NETBALL TEAM!"
remember how we used to hate and dread trainings but still came anyway?
remember how we used to rush rush rush before trainings to get everything ready and done?
remember how we used to get so excited about friendly matches?
remember how we used to turn up late for friendly matches because we lose our way?
remember how we used to have conflicts between ourselves?
remember how we used to have so much fun gathering others to play street netball with us?

remember how we were so nervous about our first seasons match against nanyang?
remember how we were so happy we won all the matches in round 1?
remember how we had a team talk with the seniors and a casual statement actually touched us?
remember how the sentence, "no matter what, we'll always be supporting you" touched us so so deeply?
remember how we were simply too nervous and afraid about playing against nanhua high that Ms Puva had to come down specially to give us a pep talk?

remember how awful it felt like to lose, just by 1?
remember how much we wanted it during our very last match?
remember how wonderful the team spirit felt once again? the team spirit that we though was long gone?
remember how wonderful it was to know that we had a #1 fann?!

my life simply revolves around netball, much more than school and class
to tell the truth, i never really regretted joining rvnb,
because you guys have made up for the tough and torturous trainings plus matches
the times we endured together as a team made up for it all
remember that period of time last year where we had conflicts and disliked each other?
i'm so glad its over now(:

that experience made me treasure my moments with you girls.

where did that coach that we loved go? the coach that smiled in the end no matter how silly our mistakes were . the coach who pretty patiently corrected us, as compared to now. the one that complimented more and did not contradict herself. the one that we weren't afraid to speak up to and to ask more and to explain why exactly we make those moves on court. sometimes its instinctive and we know, its wrong. but sometimes we really don't understand and i don't see how scoldings will drill it into our heads. yes its frustrating when you explain, time and again, and people just don't know what on earth you want them to do. why not try explaining it in a different way? we know you speak english. try rephrasing your sentences maybe? i know time is precious, during this time. i know the next few matches will definitely be a hard fight. i know we can't afford to make silly mistakes anymore. i know it'll cost us our placings. but i don't see the point if everybody is unhappy about this. where has that passion for the game gone for us?
